Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand project goals, requirements, and budgets for residential and commercial spaces.
- Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, and detailed presentations that align with client vision and brand identity.
- Create comprehensive space plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings using industry-standard software.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes, ensuring aesthetic appeal, functionality, and budget adherence.
- Prepare realistic 3D renderings and visualisations to communicate design proposals effectively to clients.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, including overseeing site progress, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring quality control.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, vendors, and the internal design team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and building regulations to incorporate innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in interior design, with a proven track record in both residential and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and a range of design styles.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, space planning, color theory, and material specifications.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is an advantage.
