Hong Leong Bank is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Intern to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments across bank premises.
- Support the OHS team in documenting and tracking safety incidents and near-miss reports.
- Help maintain and update OHS documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance registers.
- Participate in organizing safety awareness programs and emergency evacuation drills.
- Assist in data collection and analysis to support the development of safety improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the OHS department during audit preparations.
- Ensure all OHS activities align with internal policies and Malaysian statutory requirements (OSHA 1994).
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 and related regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey safety information clearly.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and a genuine interest in building a career in OHS management.
