Job Description

Join PERSOL as an International Relations & Protocol Specialist on a 1-year contract in Singapore's Central Region. In this pivotal role, you will support high-level diplomatic engagements, cross-border collaborations, and official protocol events. You will be the bridge between government agencies, foreign dignitaries, and international organisations, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to diplomatic protocols. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage official visits, meetings, and events involving foreign dignitaries and international delegations
  • Draft, review, and dispatch diplomatic correspondence, notes verbales, and briefing materials
  • Maintain and update protocol databases, contact directories, and event calendars
  • Liaise with government ministries, embassies, and international organisations to ensure smooth logistical arrangements
  • Provide on-site protocol support during high-level meetings, conferences, and ceremonies
  • Monitor international relations developments and prepare summary reports for senior management
  • Assist in the development of protocol guidelines and training materials for staff
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in protocol, diplomacy, or government relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated understanding of diplomatic protocols and cross-cultural etiquette
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Singaporean citizenship or permanent residency preferred due to security clearance requirements
