As an IQC Engineer, you will be responsible for defining excellence in our incoming material processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and production, to uphold stringent quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspection of incoming raw materials and components against specifications and engineering drawings.
- Utilize precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) and coordinate with suppliers for timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Perform statistical analysis of incoming quality data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to evaluate and audit supplier quality performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of inspection results in compliance with ISO standards.
- Train and mentor junior QC inspectors on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Participate in root cause analysis meetings to prevent the recurrence of quality defects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, or a related field).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in Incoming Quality Control (IQC) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (FMEA, Fishbone, Pareto charts).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Quality Engineering is a significant advantage.
