As a Jetty Master, you will be the cornerstone of our port and terminal activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant vessel mooring, cargo handling, and overall terminal management. You will work closely with ship captains, stevedores, and shore personnel to coordinate daily operations, maintain equipment, and uphold the highest standards of environmental and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all vessel mooring, unmooring, and berthing operations in compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage and train deck crews and mooring teams to ensure efficient and safe handling of lines and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain all jetty infrastructure, including fenders, bollards, gangways, and mooring lines.
- Liaise with shipsā masters, pilots, and terminal operators to schedule arrivals, departures, and cargo transfers.
- Monitor environmental conditions (tide, wind, current) and adjust operations to prevent accidents or delays.
- Enforce international and local regulations regarding port safety, security, and pollution prevention.
- Prepare daily operational reports, incident logs, and maintenance records for management review.
- Conduct routine safety drills and risk assessments to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in port operations, terminal management, or as a Jetty Master / mooring supervisor.
- Hold a valid seafarerās certificate or equivalent maritime qualification (e.g., STCW, Indonesia Seafarer Book).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiānational crews in a fastāpaced environment.
- Strong knowledge of mooring techniques, vessel stability, and cargo handling equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with safety management systems (ISPS, ISM, OHSAS) and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
