Responsibilities
- Oversee daily jetty operations, including vessel docking, passenger boarding, and departure logistics.
- Ensure strict adherence to maritime safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Manage and train jetty staff, including security, ground crew, and ticket office personnel.
- Monitor jetty infrastructure maintenance and coordinate repairs to ensure facility safety and aesthetics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tour operators and cruise crew members.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a 5-star service standard.
- Maintain accurate logs for vessel traffic, passenger manifests, and daily operations reports.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in jetty operations, port management, or large-scale tourism operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (knowledge of local dialects is a plus).
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and crisis management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays based on tourism demand.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
