Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Perform daily food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workstation in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management by stocking shelves and reporting low supplies.
  • Operate kitchen equipment (fryers, ovens, grills) safely and correctly.
  • Assist in dishwashing and heavy-duty cleaning of the kitchen area at the end of shifts.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery to customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Cook, or in a similar F&B role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Possess a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
