In this role, you will be the backbone of our operational health, ensuring our kitchen facilities are hygienic and our students are served in a safe environment.
You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food preparation safety, directly contributing to the well-being of our students and staff. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a sanitary preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals for children according to the school’s dietary guidelines.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining area, and food storage facilities.
- Manage the washing, sanitizing, and proper storage of kitchen utensils, cutlery, and cookware.
- Carry out daily cleaning schedules for classrooms, toilets, and common areas to maintain a sterile environment.
- Perform waste management and disposal duties in accordance with preschool safety protocols.
- Monitor food inventory and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Adhere strictly to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in kitchen operations, housekeeping, or cleaning, preferably within an educational or childcare setting.
- Possession of a valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a nurturing attitude suitable for working in a preschool environment.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning duties and kitchen assistance.
- Basic command of English to communicate with staff and read safety documentation.
