Responsibilities
- Assist the kitchen team in food preparation, plating, and cooking according to Grande Cafe's recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and serving food and beverages promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area at all times, adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, and POS systems, with care and efficiency.
- Cash handling responsibilities, including processing payments and balancing the till at the end of the shift.
- Collaborate effectively with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service operations.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel setting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic beginners.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
- Physical stamina required to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., boxes of supplies).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
