Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all food products are stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in receiving deliveries, and help control food waste.
- Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely order execution and excellent customer service.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas for menu improvements and process efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe).
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent portion control.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with kitchen and service teams.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 15 kg).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
