Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Manage kitchen staff schedules, assignments, and performance to ensure smooth workflow.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability.
- Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and meet the pub’s quality standards.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to food quality or service.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and cost control.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse kitchen team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and local health codes.
- Effective communication skills in English and/or Filipino.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certificate preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
