Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules, assignments, and performance to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef.
  • Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and meet the pub’s quality standards.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to food quality or service.

Qualifications

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and cost control.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and local health codes.
  • Effective communication skills in English and/or Filipino.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certificate preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
