Responsibilities

  • Perform routine chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis on raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities are carried out in strict compliance with MS ISO/IEC 17025 management system requirements.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Document and maintain precise records of all test data, ensuring traceability and data integrity.
  • Monitor and report any deviations from quality specifications to the Quality Assurance Manager immediately.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, HALAL, and other food safety certification standards.
  • Manage the inventory of laboratory chemicals, reagents, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted testing schedules.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Practical knowledge or training in MS ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management Systems.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP, and HALAL requirements).
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
