Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique learning profiles of students.
- Deliver high-impact one-on-one and small-group interventions to improve literacy, numeracy, and social communication.
- Collaborate with mainstream classroom teachers to differentiate lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials.
- Conduct regular assessments and screenings to identify specific learning needs and monitor student progress.
- Provide guidance and regular progress reports to parents, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
- Liaise with external healthcare professionals and educational psychologists to coordinate holistic support strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of student interventions, achievements, and behavioral milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree or PGCE is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Global Developmental Delay.
- Excellent command of the English language, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.
- Proven ability to remain patient, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced educational environment.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and data-tracking software to monitor student growth.
- Valid teaching credentials or specialized certification in Special Education.
