Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions across various accounting subjects (e.g., Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Corporate Finance).
- Develop, update, and review comprehensive course materials, syllabi, and teaching aids in line with curriculum requirements and industry standards.
- Assess student learning through examinations, assignments, projects, and presentations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students, fostering a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, curriculum review, and development initiatives to ensure program relevance and quality.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends, regulations, and technologies in the accounting profession.
- Contribute to the college's academic and administrative functions as required.
Qualifications
- A Master's or PhD degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant lecturing experience in higher education, preferably in accounting or finance programs.
- Proven industry experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and learning management systems.
