Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the school library, including circulation, shelving, and resource maintenance.
  • Curate and develop a diverse and up-to-date collection of physical and digital resources that support the school curriculum and promote a love for reading.
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate information literacy lessons to students across various year levels.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate library resources and research skills into classroom learning.
  • Organise and promote library events, book clubs, author visits, and reading programs to encourage student engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and staff on research methodologies, citation, and digital citizenship.
  • Maintain an inviting, organised, and student-centred library environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed) is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience working as a Librarian or Library Teacher, preferably within an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of children's and young adult literature, as well as educational resources.
