Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service hours
- Assist in inventory management and proper storage of food supplies and ingredients
- Participate in menu development and provide input for seasonal menu updates
- Follow strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe kitchen environment
- Support the head chef and kitchen management in daily operations and special events
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar culinary position in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with food safety standards, hygiene practices, and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions effectively
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Professional attitude, reliability, and genuine passion for culinary arts
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary arts education or certification is a plus
