Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance activities of mill machinery, including conveyors, boilers, presses, and processing equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Lead, train, and evaluate a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure high performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, and coordinate timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor budget and control costs related to maintenance materials and external services.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in a palm oil mill, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse technical team.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS software.
- Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, DOSH) and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment and respond to emergencies when needed.
