Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is seeking an experienced Manager, Compensation & Benefits to lead the design, implementation, and administration of competitive reward and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent across the university. Reporting to the HR Director, you will partner with senior leadership to align compensation strategy with institutional goals, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive dataâinformed decision making. As a key member of the HR team, you will oversee salary structures, bonus schemes, and a comprehensive suite of employee benefits including health, retirement, and wellness programs. You will leverage HRIS platforms to analyze compensation trends, conduct market benchmarking, and provide actionable insights to support fair and equitable pay practices. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential as you will work closely with finance, legal, and business unit leaders to communicate policies, manage employee inquiries, and lead change initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation structures, including base salary, variable pay, and longâterm incentive plans aligned with SUSSâs strategic objectives.
- Design, administer, and evaluate employee benefits programs (health, dental, retirement, wellness, and flexible work arrangements) ensuring costâeffectiveness and compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular market salary surveys and benchmarking analyses to inform pay decisions and maintain external competitiveness.
- Utilize HRIS (Workday/Oracle) and analytics tools to track compensation metrics, generate reports, and provide dataâdriven recommendations to HR leadership and business partners.
- Partner with finance and legal teams to ensure adherence to statutory requirements, tax implications, and corporate governance standards.
- Lead communication and change management initiatives related to compensation and benefits, addressing employee queries and conducting training sessions for managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., CBP, GRP) preferred.
- Minimum 7â8 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably within a large educational, public sector, or multinational organization.
- Proven expertise in job evaluation, salary structure design, bonus and incentive plan administration, and benefits program management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HRIS platforms (Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and presenting complex concepts clearly.
- Inâdepth knowledge of Singapore employment regulations, CPF, and statutory benefits requirements.
