Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end editorial process for primary or secondary mathematics instructional materials.
- Collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and illustrators to develop high-quality pedagogical content.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet strict quality control and publication deadlines.
- Review and edit mathematical content for accuracy, clarity, age-appropriateness, and curriculum alignment.
- Mentor and guide a team of internal and freelance editors to ensure consistent editorial standards.
- Coordinate with the design and production departments to oversee layout, typesetting, and print-readiness.
- Stay updated on global mathematics curriculum trends to ensure Scholastic’s offerings remain market-leading.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Publishing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in educational publishing, specifically within the STEM or Mathematics domain.
- Strong grasp of pedagogical principles and curriculum development standards.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time.
- Superb command of the English language with an impeccable eye for copy-editing and proofreading.
- Proficiency in digital publishing tools and content management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced international corporate environment.
