Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging Mandarin language lesson plans tailored to different proficiency levels
- Conduct interactive language classes focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation
- Utilize various teaching methodologies and resources to make lessons dynamic and effective
- Stay updated on current language teaching techniques and cultural developments in Mandarin-speaking regions
- Collaborate with other instructors to maintain consistency in language instruction standards
- Prepare students for language proficiency examinations if required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin with excellent pronunciation
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in language instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students effectively
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching Mandarin language and culture
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Familiarity with language assessment tools and proficiency standards
- Professional certification in language teaching is a plus
