Electronic City Indonesia is seeking a highly organized and bilingual Mandarin Speaker to join our dynamic Merchandising and Project team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our operations and Mandarin-speaking suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and successful project execution. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can effectively review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased, driving our supply chain efficiency and product quality standards.
Your expertise will help us source the best electronic products and consumer goods while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and market trends. You will play a key role in vendor negotiation, product selection, and quality assurance. Responsibilities
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking vendors and suppliers regarding product specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Review and analyze product samples, catalogs, and market trends to ensure optimal selection.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including approvals, contracts, and order placement.
- Monitor project timelines and coordinate logistics to ensure timely product arrival.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet Electronic City Indonesia's standards.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure the best value for the company.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, invoices, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin (Native or Business Proficiency) and English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in merchandising, purchasing, or project management (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare and evaluate product data effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proven track record in vendor relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience in the electronic or consumer goods retail sector is a plus.
