PT.Safast Electric Vehicle Indonesia is at the forefront of the EV revolution in Indonesia, and we are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin Translator (Technical) to bridge the communication gap between our international technical teams and our local operations.
In this role, you will be the vital link ensuring that complex engineering concepts, technical specifications, and project requirements are accurately conveyed. You will facilitate seamless collaboration, ensuring that our electric vehicle projects meet global quality and efficiency standards. Responsibilities
- Translate technical documents, engineering manuals, and product specifications from Mandarin to Indonesian/English and vice versa.
- Provide real-time interpretation during technical meetings, site inspections, and project coordination sessions.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in technical terminology related to electric vehicle components, charging infrastructure, and manufacturing processes.
- Support the project management team in drafting correspondence, reports, and administrative documentation.
- Facilitate effective communication between the Chinese engineering headquarters and local Indonesian technical staff to resolve on-site issues.
- Review translated content for quality and consistency, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company protocols.
- Assist in organizing project timelines and documentation management to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Linguistics, or a related field; a background in technical/mechanical studies is highly preferred.
- Fluency in Mandarin (HSK 5 or 6 preferred) and Indonesian; professional proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience as a technical translator or interpreter, preferably within the manufacturing, automotive, or renewable energy sectors.
- Deep understanding of technical vocabulary, specifically within mechanical or electrical engineering contexts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate cross-cultural communication challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management tools.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a demanding industrial environment.
