Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented engineer passionate about driving technical excellence and operational efficiency? We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Perai, Penang. In this role, you will be the backbone of our production floor, responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing tooling strategies, and ensuring that our technical output meets the highest standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and safety.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, implement lean manufacturing principles, and scale our processes to meet growing production demands. We are looking for an analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a proactive mindset toward problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Design and oversee the maintenance of tooling and fixtures to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production disruptions and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focusing on cost reduction and operational excellence.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and equipment to support business scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for process optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions across teams.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machinery, tooling design, or assembly line automation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
