As a key member of the manufacturing engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement of the client’s sophisticated automated production lines. You will be exposed to cutting-edge automation technologies and will work closely with cross-functional teams from Production, Quality, and R&D to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, and optimize existing processes to meet stringent production goals and quality standards.
You will actively participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to ensure smooth production launches. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing processes and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on robotic and automated assembly lines.
- Program, configure, and optimize PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron) and Robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency (OEE, cycle time, yield).
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive process flow documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates with strong internship exposure in automation are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB) is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
