Premier Hytemp is a global leader in the manufacture of high-integrity components for the energy and engineering sectors. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Machining) to join our high-performance team in the West Region of Singapore.
In this critical role, you will be the technical backbone of our machine shop, ensuring the seamless execution of complex machining processes. You will collaborate closely with internal production teams and external subcontract vendors to optimize workflows, troubleshoot machining challenges, and ensure every component meets our rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities
- Develop and refine complex machining methods to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to the machine shop floor staff.
- Manage relationships with subcontract vendors, ensuring quality compliance and timely project delivery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and CNC program optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean manufacturing principles and Root Cause Analysis.
- Ensure all machining activities strictly adhere to company safety standards and ISO quality protocols.
- Perform cost estimation and feasibility analysis for new machining projects and technical bids.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a precision machining environment.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) and CNC programming (Fanuc/Mazatrol).
- In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling selection, and material properties.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage vendor interactions effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to process optimization.
