Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging mathematics lessons tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify student strengths and areas for improvement.
- Develop customised learning plans and track progress through regular evaluations.
- Coach students in exam techniques, time management, and critical thinking for mathematics assessments.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with the academic team to refine curriculum materials and teaching resources.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development workshops to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics, preferably in a coaching or mentoring role.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore mathematics curriculum (primary/secondary levels).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and parents.
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic excellence.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms is an advantage.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing young learners.
- Teaching certification or relevant coaching credentials are highly desirable.
