Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and assembly drawings for automated robotic systems using 3D CAD software.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems efficiently.
- Perform rigorous performance testing and validation of machines to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to monitor part fabrication and ensure high-quality component acquisition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical design issues during the prototyping and assembly phases.
- Maintain comprehensive records of design revisions and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automation or robotics industry.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in managing BOMs and technical specifications for industrial machinery.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and engineering diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills in English and Malay to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
