You will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, performing thermal simulations, and validating designs through rigorous testing. Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for electronic enclosures, heat sinks, and structural parts.
- Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to optimize heat dissipation and ensure product reliability.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks or similar software.
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical designs with overall system requirements.
- Perform design validation through prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.
- Select materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, die casting, sheet metal) to meet cost and quality targets.
- Support production ramp-up by resolving design-related issues and providing technical documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in thermal management and mechanical design.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2β5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in electronics or semiconductor industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Catia) and thermal simulation tools (ANSYS, Flotherm).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material properties.
- Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Malay or Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
