As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between conceptual sales requirements and technical execution. You will gain significant exposure to high-level engineering projects, focusing specifically on 3D SolidWorks sheet metal design and comprehensive 2D AutoCAD drawings. Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks, with a focus on sheet metal components.
- Create accurate 2D engineering drawings and technical schematics using AutoCAD for production and assembly.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to define technical specifications and project timelines.
- Work with the Sales Team to provide technical design support and feasibility assessments during the bidding process.
- Conduct design reviews to identify potential improvements and ensure manufacturability (DFM).
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement and manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide technical guidance during the fabrication phase.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with safety regulations and internal quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design or drafting.
- Proven proficiency in SolidWorks, specifically with sheet metal and assembly modules.
- Strong command of AutoCAD for 2D drafting and documentation.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
