Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective, long-term repair solutions to ensure operational continuity.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and lifecycle upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee installations, commissioning, and testing of new mechanical equipment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including maintenance logs, technical reports, and safety compliance records.
- Ensure all mechanical operations adhere strictly to local safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis for critical equipment failures to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in mechanical maintenance or plant operations, preferably within the energy or oil & gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and industrial safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering schematics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate with technicians and management.
- Willingness to work in Kimanis, Sabah and perform onsite troubleshooting as required.
- Registered Professional Engineer (BEM/IEM) is an added advantage.
