Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage technical submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals with consultants and vendors.
- Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and verify that mechanical installations align with approved technical documents.
- Manage Request for Information (RFI) processes to ensure timely resolution of on-site technical challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and civil engineers, to ensure site coordination and clash detection.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports and attend site meetings to update stakeholders on project status.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to mechanical systems during the construction phase.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Mechanical Coordination or Engineering role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM (Revit) for technical drafting and review.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, BCA requirements, and mechanical system standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing external subcontractors and consultants.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., IES membership) is highly regarded.
