PT Tri Mentari Niaga is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical & Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Bogor. This role is pivotal in driving our product development cycle, from conceptualization to the final production stage. You will be responsible for transforming complex ideas into functional, high-performance mechanical designs that meet the rigorous standards of the automotive and manufacturing industries.
As a key member of our R&D department, you will utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models, perform meticulous reverse engineering on existing components, and implement continuous improvements to our product line. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models for new product development.
- Execute reverse engineering processes to analyze, document, and improve existing mechanical components.
- Transform conceptual ideas and sketches into precise digital design files ready for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify design flaws and implement engineering improvements.
- Oversee the creation and management of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all designed products.
- Perform structural and functional simulations to ensure product durability and performance.
- Conduct quality checks on prototypes and final products against original design specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.
- Proven proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, etc.).
- Experience in reverse engineering techniques and the use of precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical blueprints and 2D/3D schematics.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and design optimization.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
