Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, and compressors.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical failures to minimize plant downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate into major failures.
- Assist in the execution of planned plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major overhauls.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts replacements, and equipment performance in the maintenance log.
- Strictly adhere to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Possess a Diploma or Certificate (SKM/IKP) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within a power plant or oil and gas environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, seals, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial plant environment, including heights and confined spaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
