This is a full-time position with an attractive remuneration package ranging from SGD 4,000 to SGD 5,500 monthly, depending on your experience and qualifications. As part of our dynamic team located in Tuas, West Region, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments including engineering, quality assurance, and production to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain the highest standards of equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, and piping systems
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Execute installation, commissioning, and commissioning of new mechanical systems and equipment upgrades
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements and efficiency optimization projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Respond to emergency equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions within specified timeframes
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and cGMP guidelines in all maintenance activities
- Participate in shutdown and turnaround activities as required to support production schedules
Qualifications
- Diploma or NTC-2 certification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within pharmaceutical, chemical, or food manufacturing industries
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics
- Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems operation and maintenance
- Experience with industrial pump maintenance, bearing replacement, and shaft alignment procedures
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to urgent maintenance calls as needed
