Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category-specific merchandising strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Manage inventory levels, including stock allocation, replenishment cycles, and markdown strategies to maximize sell-through.
- Coordinate with global brand partners and vendors to secure exclusive stock and ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze retail performance data and consumer trends to identify new growth opportunities within the product portfolio.
- Collaborate with store operations and marketing teams to implement compelling visual merchandising and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct regular market research to benchmark our offerings against competitors and identify gaps in the market.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from selection and procurement through to in-store placement and performance review.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and negotiating trade terms to optimize margins.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, or product procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret retail KPIs, sales reports, and inventory metrics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with global IP stakeholders.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail management software.
- Ability to travel regionally for trade shows, supplier visits, and market observation.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Passion for retail trends and a deep understanding of consumer behavior in the gift or lifestyle sector.
