PT Megah Bara Sejahtera is a rapidly growing player in the Indonesian mining sector, committed to operational excellence, safety, and sustainable resource development. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mine Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Peranap, Riau.
As a Mine Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing efficient mine plans, optimizing production cycles, and ensuring that our operations remain both profitable and compliant with industry safety standards. You will work closely with geological and operations teams to bridge the gap between resource estimation and extraction, leveraging modern mining software to drive project success.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive long-term and short-term mine plans to maximize coal recovery and economic efficiency.
- Utilize mining software (e.g., Surpac, Minescape, or Vulcan) to create detailed pit designs, dump layouts, and haulage road designs.
- Monitor and analyze daily production performance against the mine plan, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Geology department to integrate resource models into actionable operational plans.
- Conduct rigorous safety and environmental impact assessments for all new pit designs and mining methods.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for management regarding production progress and project updates.
- Ensure compliance with all local mining regulations, permits, and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in mine planning, specifically in coal mining operations.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard mining software (e.g., Minescape, Surpac, Xpac, or similar).
- Solid understanding of pit optimization, mine scheduling, and economic evaluation of mining projects.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Possess a 'POP' (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) certification is highly desirable.
- Willing to be placed at the site in Peranap, Riau.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
