Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to students aged 5-11.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate theory, practical skills, and multicultural music.
- Organize and direct school performances, recitals, and music events.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate music across the curriculum.
- Participate in professional development workshops and stay updated on music pedagogy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant qualification in primary education.
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching music to young children.
- Proficiency in at least one instrument (piano, guitar, violin) and vocal training.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to read and write musical notation and use music technology.
- Passion for fostering creativity and a love for music in students.
