Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee comprehensive ship repair projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance schedules for vessel repairs.
- Ensure all repair activities comply with international maritime safety standards and classification society regulations.
- Conduct structural inspections and assess the stability of vessels undergoing repair or modification.
- Coordinate with shipyard personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to hull, machinery, and electrical systems during the repair process.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding project progress, costs, and quality control findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- Must be a Licensed Naval Architect (Board Exam Passer).
- Proven experience in ship repair, dry-docking, or marine project management.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar) for technical design and modification.
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional shipyard team.
- Must be willing to be based in Navotas City, Metro Manila.
