Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures to protect organizational data and infrastructure.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses in the system.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deploy updates, patches, and security configurations across servers and endpoints.
- Manage virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) ensuring secure resource allocation.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network security policies and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in network administration or security engineering.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and routing/switching.
- Hands-on experience with server and storage management, as well as virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux and Windows Server environments).
- Understanding of industry-standard security frameworks and compliance practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or similar are highly preferred.
