Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans used during service.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station, ensuring floors are dry and free of debris.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when necessary.
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and efficiently according to manufacturer instructions.
- Remove kitchen waste and manage trash disposal in compliance with sanitation protocols.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, dried, and stored in its proper place immediately after washing.
- Support the team during peak hours to ensure continuous workflow.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
Qualifications
- Open to candidates with or without prior professional dishwashing experience.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and available for flexible on-call shifts.
- Possess basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift heavy items, such as large pots and racks of dishes.
- Strong team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not strictly required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions precisely.
