Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of pumping station equipment to ensure continuous water supply
- Monitor system performance metrics and implement optimization strategies for energy efficiency
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols across all operations
- Coordinate emergency response procedures for system failures or operational disruptions
- Analyze hydraulic data to identify distribution bottlenecks and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Lead training programs for technical staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in water utility operations or pumping station management
- Professional Engineering License (PEng) or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and hydraulic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and distribution network principles
- Experience developing operational budgets and cost-control measures
- Certification in OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 standards advantageous
