Responsibilities
- Develop innovative pastry and dessert recipes aligned with current food trends and consumer preferences
- Conduct food science experiments to optimize textures, flavors, and nutritional profiles
- Scale prototypes into production-ready recipes with precise ingredient specifications and procedures
- Document R&D processes, including sensory evaluations and shelf-life testing results
- Collaborate with operations team to ensure recipe feasibility and cost-efficiency
- Partner with marketing to develop product concepts and promotional narratives
- Stay updated on emerging ingredients, techniques, and sustainability practices in pastry arts
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or certification in Pastry Arts with 3+ years R&D experience
- Strong foundation in food science principles including ingredient interactions and preservation
- Proven track record of developing commercial dessert recipes from concept to launch
- Expertise in sensory evaluation and quality control methodologies
