Responsibilities
- Develop and design seasonal dessert menus and pastry offerings that align with the café’s brand and customer preferences.
- Prepare, bake, and present a wide variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, breads, and other confections to the highest standard.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and decoration across all products.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients, equipment, and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff to maintain efficiency and quality in the kitchen.
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper food storage and sanitation.
- Collaborate with the head chef and front-of-house team to coordinate dessert service and handle special dietary requests.
- Monitor cost control and reduce waste without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Pastry Chef or Patissier in a café, restaurant, or bakery.
- Formal culinary or pastry arts certification from a recognized institution is highly preferred.
- Exceptional knowledge of baking techniques, doughs, creams, chocolate work, and dessert plating.
- Strong creativity and ability to develop new recipes and presentations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle high-volume production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a small team.
- Good communication skills in Indonesian (English is a plus).
- Willing to work full-time at our location in Gading Serpong, Tangerang.
