Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Manage payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare relevant reports, and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax matters with professionalism and clarity.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data integration and reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
- Assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar enterprise-level HRIS/payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations (e.g., FLSA, IRS regulations).
- Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive information confidentially.
