Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Manage payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  • Reconcile payroll data, prepare relevant reports, and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax matters with professionalism and clarity.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data integration and reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
  • Assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar enterprise-level HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations (e.g., FLSA, IRS regulations).
  • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
