As an Assessment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, teaching, and conducting assessments aligned to the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS). You will manage candidate evidence, co-design the Workplace Integrated Methodology (WIM) with trainers, and ensure all assessment processes meet rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver assessment sessions in accordance with NOSS guidelines and industry requirements.
  • Conduct both formative and summative assessments for vocational trainees, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of candidate evidence and assessment outcomes.
  • Co-design and develop Workplace Integrated Methodology (WIM) frameworks alongside trainers and industry partners.
  • Provide constructive feedback to candidates and trainers to support learning and skill development.
  • Participate in moderation and verification activities to uphold assessment quality standards.
  • Stay updated on changes to NOSS and vocational assessment best practices, integrating improvements into daily work.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to align assessment strategies with training programs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Education, Vocational Training, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Vocational Training Officer (VTO) or equivalent assessor qualification recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in assessment, teaching, or vocational training.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) framework.
  • Familiarity with Workplace Integrated Methodology (WIM) and competency-based assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing candidate evidence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and assessment management systems.
