Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and small group instructional support to primary school students under the direction of the Learning Support Teacher.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other learning support strategies.
  • Collaborate with Learning Support teachers and classroom teachers to adapt materials and activities to meet diverse student needs.
  • Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to the Learning Support Teacher regarding student performance and behavior.
  • Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support students with organizational skills, study habits, and social-emotional development.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and classroom aids as required.
  • Assist with supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, and other school-related events.

Qualifications

  • A relevant diploma or certification in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a learning support or special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and various learning styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning and well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, as required in an international school environment.
