We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Process Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in the chemical oil industry. Based in the North Region of Singapore, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to operational excellence and process optimization.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing production metrics, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
This position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $3,500 to $4,000 per month, complemented by an Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) and Variable Bonus (VB) scheme. Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize chemical processes to ensure efficient production operations and consistent product quality
- Analyze production data and process metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process activities
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain technical records
- Support capital improvement projects and participate in process design activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Prior working experience in chemical processing, oil and gas, or related industrial sectors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making skills
- Proficiency in process simulation software and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of process safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, PSM) and environmental compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong technical documentation and report-writing capabilities
- Ability to thrive in industrial environments and manage multiple priorities
