Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for semiconductor manufacturing excellence? Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated Process Engineer specializing in Wet Etch and Wet Cleaning to join a high-growth production environment in Singapore's Central Region. This is a critical role designed for a technical expert who thrives on optimizing complex chemical processes and driving industrialization efforts to the next level.

In this position, you will be at the forefront of process innovation, leading the transition of wet etch processes from development to full-scale production. You will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring that all cleaning and etching protocols meet rigorous quality standards while maintaining high throughput. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of chemical interactions on wafer surfaces and a proven track record of qualifying new tools and materials within a cleanroom setting.

Joining this team means you will be part of a collaborative culture that values continuous improvement and technical precision. You will work alongside world-class engineers to solve challenging yield issues, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure that the facility remains at the cutting edge of semiconductor technology. If you are looking for a role that offers both technical challenge and professional growth, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the industrialization and scaling of wet etch and wet cleaning processes for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Execute the qualification of new raw materials, chemicals, and advanced hardware tools to enhance process capability.
  • Analyze process data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor stability and identify trends.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with the equipment engineering team to optimize tool performance and minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects (CIP) focused on yield enhancement, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Support cross-functional teams during technology transfers and new product introductions (NPI).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment, specifically within Wet Etch or Cleaning modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of wet chemistry, surface preparation, and contamination control.
  • Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) and data analysis software (e.g., JMP or Minitab).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with automated wet bench systems and single-wafer cleaning tools.
