Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure maximum cost-savings without compromising quality.
  • Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policy.
  • Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize stock levels.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of approved suppliers and pricing history.
  • Perform cost analysis and prepare monthly reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company ethics and local government regulations in Batam.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and market research.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Batam’s Free Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations and import/export documentation is highly desirable.
  • High level of integrity and a detail-oriented mindset.
