Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety targets are met.
- Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Monitor production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-based decisions.
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to minimise downtime and resolve technical issues.
- Lead or participate in projects related to capacity expansion, new equipment installation, and process automation.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Train and mentor production operators and junior engineers to build team capability.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a production engineering role, preferably in the rubber, chemical, or similar manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, PDCA).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with a growth-oriented mindset and a drive for career advancement.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work across departments.
- Willingness to work in Kuala Selangor and flexible to shift operations if needed.
